The Friends of the Clinton River Trail (FCRT) is an all-volunteer, non-profit citizen group committed to promoting the Clinton River Trail as a safe and enjoyable destination. We work closely with the five cities that own the trail on standards, maintenance, development, and beautification. On-going FCRT Activities include:

  • We manage this website and our social media accounts.

  • We update and publish on-line and printed versions of the Clinton River Trail map and a semi-annual newsletter called Trailways.

  • We host events along the trail to showcase and encourage its use.

  • We organize work days and trail clean-ups with support from area organizations and employers.

  • We prepare trail advocacy presentations to each cities’ legislative body to encourage proper maintenance of the trail.

  • We host CRT Alliance meetings with the cities’ parks directors and departments.

How to Get Involved

Trails don’t just happen. They require love and attention from folks that use and enjoy them. Folks like you. No special skills are required other than a desire to support the trail community. So, please drop FCRT a note at clintonrivertrail@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out. Or better yet, just show up at any of the regular FCRT meetings. Meetings are typically held on the last Tuesday of the month, 7:00 p.m. at the Auburn Hills Community Center.
